A new book just came out by Dr. Dale Bredesen: The First Survivors of Alzheimer’s, and I wanted to make sure you know about it. This natural treatment of Alzheimer’s disease is the result of his previous book, The End of Alzheimer’s, which explained his protocol, ReCODE, to treat Alzheimer’s. Now, there are survivors and The First Survivors of Alzheimer’s tell their stories in their own words with commentary by Dr. Bredesen and tips and tricks.

The protocol first encourages ruling out any underlying health issues with a physician. Then it goes into lifestyle, diet and supplement regimens to give the body and brain what they really need. These touching stories show that it really works. There are many more survivors but these were among the first. I highly encourage you to check out the book:

Also recommended, read The End of Alzheimer’s and The End of Alzheimer’s Program: The First Protocol to Enhance Cognition and Reverse Decline at Any Age for the complete program. Don’t wait for symptoms, check these books out to keep your brain functioning well. These simple suggestions are easy to put into practice and you’ll notice how much better your brain functions.

These books are for any age. The earlier you start preventing dementia and Alzheimer’s, the more likely you’ll never encounter it. Even if you are having symptoms, get to your doctor and rule out other problems that can cause memory problems.

For me, it was hyperparathyroidism that had me scared. Not to be confused with hyperthyroidism. Thyroid and parathyroid are two completely different glands. But talk to your doctor and run some labs. See if there is anything else. Then put this protocol into practice.

Many of the suggestions on this site came from Dr. Bredesen’s program, ReCODE, described in the above two books. Another neurologist I follow, Dr David Perlmutter, also promotes this program and gives high accolades to Dr. Bredesen’s books.

There is more exciting research coming out of MIT. I’ll report on that after they have published their research study results.
